1. Who we are
This app (“VibeMe”, “we”) is operated by FIRMA VibeMe București [legal name: to be completed], [registration no.: to be completed], with its registered office in [address: to be completed], Bucharest, Romania.

We are the data controller for the data described below.
2. What data we collect
Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier.
Profile data, which you add yourself:
- display name, age, city;
- gender and who you’re “looking for” (women / men / everyone);
- interests, hobbies, music, languages, education, occupation, smoking, drinking;
- a short bio and your answer to the icebreaker question;
- your voice recording;
- the photos you upload (they stay blurred to others until you choose otherwise).
Approximate location: if you tap “Use my location”, we store rounded coordinates (~1 km), never your exact address. Otherwise we use the coordinates of the city you entered.
Activity data: likes, matches, call proposals and schedules, when you were last active, and consumed call sessions.
Payment data: when you buy sessions, payment is processed by Stripe. We never store or see your card details — we only receive confirmation of payment and the number of sessions purchased.
Technical data: a cookie/local storage entry for your chosen language and minor interface preferences.
Usage data (first-party analytics): pseudonymous events about how you use the app (e.g. pages viewed and key actions such as signing up, a like, or a purchase). We store these ourselves, don’t share them with third parties, and use them to understand and improve the product.
3. How we use data and our legal basis
To provide the service — account, profile, discovery, matches, calls (basis: performance of the contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To process payments and credit your purchased sessions (performance of the contract and legal obligations, including tax).
To send you email notifications about matches and calls (basis: legitimate interest; you can turn this off anytime in your profile).
For location and the “active now” status (basis: consent, which you can withdraw in your profile).
For security, abuse prevention and legal compliance (legitimate interest and legal obligations).
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that make the service work, acting as processors:
- Supabase — database hosting, authentication, photo and voice storage;
- Vercel — application hosting;
- Whereby — connecting the audio calls;
- Resend — sending emails;
- Stripe — processing payments;
- Google — only if you sign in with Google.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; where they do, appropriate safeguards apply (e.g. standard contractual clauses).
5. How long we keep data
We keep your account and profile data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except data we must keep for legal reasons (e.g. payment records under tax law).
You can request deletion anytime (see section 7).
6. Security
Photos and voice recordings are stored in private spaces with controlled access. Photos remain inaccessible to others while you keep them blurred. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and database-level access rules.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdrawal of consent (e.g. for location or emails).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro.
8. Minimum age
VibeMe is for people aged 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you learn that a minor is using the service, let us know at privacy@vibeme.love.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
